Parental Guidance

My family and I watched this movie tonight and I would highly recommend it.

The movie is about a traditional grandfather Artie, who is acquainted to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his complaisant wife Diane agree to babysit their three grandchildren when their type-A helicopter parents had to leave for work for a few days. But when 21st century problems clashed with Artie and Diane's accustomed means of firm rules, lots of love and old school games, it's learning to bend - and not holding your ground - that tags a family together.

My family and I loved this movie and there are just so much to learn from it.

Hubby's New Nickname

My family and I went to the movies tonight. We watched the movies Guilt Trip and Parental Guidance. My son did not really care about the Guilt Trip movie, he was playing his 3DS the whole time but it was different with the Parental Guidance. My husband and I were surprised that this movie caught our son's attention.

Anyway, after the movie, my little one started calling his father Mr. Farty, my husband and I thought it was funny, our son got it from the movie Parental Guidance. I really don't know how long this nickname would last but we will see =)

Straw Dogs

I've been wanting to watch this movie since I saw its preview but I never had the chance to watch it in the movies so I've decided to rent it from redbox today.

The movie is about a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, returning to her small hometown in the Deep South to get the family home ready for sale after her father's death. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old frays transpire with the locals, to include Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie, leading to a raging confrontation.

Cars 2

My
son got really excited when he saw Cars 2 at the Red box, thank God it was available. When we got home, my son told me to put the movie right away. It really feels good seeing my son so happy and excited.

My son loves cars and it was so amazing seeing him so concentrated watching it. He was also cheering for Lightning McQueen. "Go lightning Mcqueen, you can do it!" "Hurry Lightning Mcqueen, hurry!" "Good Job Lightning McQueen" that's what he kept saying every time lightning McQueen races. Listening to him really made me smile.

I got a little bit sad when my son said " I wish my papi's here, this movie is so awesome!" Well, how I wish my husband is here too,we really missed him a lot and I know he feels the same way. We love and miss you so much babe!

Inception

My husband and I watched the movie Inception last night. At first, we didn't really understand the movie but as the movie went on, we started understanding it.

The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Dileep Rao, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine. DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb, a specialized spy or corporate espionage thief. His work consists of secretly extracting valuable commercial information from the unconscious mind of his targets while they are asleep and dreaming. Unable to visit his children, Cobb is offered a chance to regain his old life in exchange for an almost impossible task: inception, the planting of an idea into one's subconscious.

Going The Distance

I am watching the movie Going The Distance while packing clothes for our trip to Corpus Christi. The movie is about Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garret (Justin Long) who striked sparks for a summer fling in New York City but neither expects it to last once Erin heads home to San Francisco and Garret remains behin for his Big Apple Job. But after six increasingly romantic weeks, neither is sure they want it to end. So despite the opposing coasts naysaying friends and family and a few unexpected temptations, the couple just might have found something like love. And helped by a lot of texting, sexting and late-night phone calls, they might actually go to the distance.

Abandoned

My husband and I watched the movie Abandoned last night. The movie is about a dark tale of a woman searching for her boyfriend after he mysteriously vanishes from the hospital marks the last screen appearance by the late actress Brittany Murphy (8 Mile, Sin City, Just Married, Clueless, Girl, Interrupted).

ABANDONED follows Mary Walsh (Murphy) as she delivers boyfriend Kevin (Dean Cain, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman;” starring in the upcoming Georgia with Val Kilmer and Andy Garcia) to a hospital for a routine outpatient surgery. But when Mary returns to take him home, he is nowhere to be found. The hospital administrator (Mimi Rogers, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) can’t find any record of him, and a police search turns up nothing.

Increasingly frantic, Mary is taken to a staff psychiatrist, Dr. Bensley (Peter Bogdanovich, “The Sopranos”) who pronounces her unstable. Now, she must not only find her missing boyfriend, but prove her own sanity. When a stranger informs Mary he knows of Kevin’s whereabouts, but demands a $10 million ransom, Mary realizes that to save herself and the man she loves, she must use any means necessary.

Good Hair

My husband and I watched a documentary film about African's hair. The title of this documentary is Good Hair, narrated by Chris Rock. Good Hair is a 2009 American documentary comedy film produced by Chris Rock Productions and HBO Films, starring and narrated by comedian Chris Rock Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2009, Good Hair was released to select theaters in the United States by Roadside Attractions on October 9 of the same year, opening across the country on October 23. The film focuses on African American women's hair, including the styling industry surrounding it, the acceptable look of African American women's hair in society, and the effects of both upon African American culture.

According to Rock, he was prompted to make the movie after his 5-year-old daughter Lola asked him, "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" During the film, Rock delves into the $9 billion black hair industry, and visits such places as beauty salons, barbershops, hair styling conventions, scientific laboratories (to learn the science behind chemical relaxers that straighten hair), and India, where many of the hair weaves worn by African American women originate.

Rock intended for the film to uphold a sense of seriousness, yet at the same time remain humorous. The movie features interviews from hair care industry businesspeople, stylists (Derek J, Jason Griggers and others) and their consumers, and celebrities such as Ice-T, Nia Long, Paul Mooney, T-Pain, Raven-Symoné, Maya Angelou, KRS-One, Salt-n-Pepa, Kerry Washington, Eve, Reverend Al Sharpton, and Meagan Good as they discuss their own experiences with their hair, and how black hair is perceived in the black community.

SALT the Movie

My husband and I watched SALT today. I've been really wanting to see this film since I saw this movie's thriller on tv. We have been busy these past few days so we didn't get the chance to watch it except for today.

The movie's about Evelyn Salt (Jolie), a CIA agent, interrogates a Russian defector, Orlov (Olbrychski). He tells her about "Day X", an operation organized by a powerful Russian since the Cold War, which will lead to the destruction of the United States. Orlov also mentions that at the funeral of the late Vice President in New York City, the visiting Russian President will be killed by a trained Russian spy. He mentions that the name of the Russian spy is Evelyn Salt. From brain scans performed during the interrogation, Ted Winter (Schreiber), Peabody (Ejiofor), and other CIA officials all see that Orlov is telling the truth.

The movie got a lot of twist and surprises. I think Angelina Jolie really did a great job on this one and I cannot wait for its part II...

Slumdog Millionaire

My husband and I watched the movie Slumdog Millionaire last night. I've always wanted to watch this movie but never had the chance until last night. The movie's really great and there's so much to learn. The story was about a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, hosted by Prem Kumar (Anil Kapoor). He has already won Rs.10,000,000 and has made it to the final question, for Rs. 20,000,000, scheduled for the next day. Following up on a tip-off from Prem Kumar, the police now suspect Jamal of cheating, because the other possibilities—that he has a vast knowledge, or that he is very lucky—seem unlikely.

Jamal then explains that, while at least the question about Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was very simple, he knew the answers of most questions by chance, because of things that happened in his life, conveyed in a series of flashbacks documenting the details of his childhood. This includes scenes of his obtaining Bachchan's autograph (which is then sold by his brother without his permission), the death of his mother during anti-Muslim violence (rekindling memory of the 1993 anti-Muslim attacks in the Mumbai slums),[7] and how he and his brother Salim befriended Latika (Rubina Ali). He refers to Salim and himself as Athos and Porthos, and Latika as the third of the The Three Musketeers, the name of whom they do not know.

Every time he would answer a question, he would have a flashback in what have happened on his life and say the right answer. He said you do not have to be genius, he knew all the answers to the questions asked to him because he experienced it and the answers were part of his life's journey. I recommend this movie for you all to watch, it is a great movie!

The Hangover

My husband, son and I watched the movie The Hangover tonight. I've wanted to watch this movie since it came it out to the theaters but I did not have the time to watch it. When my hubby came home, I've told him about Hangover and tonight we had the chance to watch it. The movie is really so funny in adult way,of course! LOL My husband and I,even the people who were in the movie house could not stop laughing either, the movie is really hilarious! If you haven't seen it yet,you better watch it! I haven't laughed in a comedy movie for a long time, I am so glad we got to see it tonight.

Here's something about the movie's story;

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

When Love Begins

I am going to watch the movie When Love Begins by Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis.

Ben Caballero (Aga Muhlach) is an environmentalist who loves casual dating, hopping from one woman to another. Michelle Valmonte (Anne Curtis) is a marketing assistant for his father’s company who is afraid to fall in love. During one summer vacation in Boracay, the two meet.

Ben and Michelle instantly hit it off despite their apparent differences. There’s only one condition: there is no commitment. Everything is going well and both believe that commitment isn’t needed for love to survive. Their passion is enough to bring them together.

But an uncommitted love isn’t always too good to be true. Ben’s involvement in his NGO pushes him to come face to face with Michelle’s father, thus greatly challenging their love for each other. In the end, Michelle has to commit herself, and that means having to choose between the two men she loves the most.

See You all later folks! If you want to watch this movie for free, just let me know!:-)
