For the most part I think watching TV is a waste of time. However there are a couple of shows that I like to watch with my daughter. One of shows my daughter and I like to watch is Dora the Explorer. Every day we turn on our cable tv Houston service and watch the show.

One of the reason why I like the show Dora the Explorer so much is that it teaches children Spanish words. This is important to me, because I come from a Spanish background and I want my children to be familiar with the Spanish language and culture.

On this show Dora, a young Spanish girl, goes on different adventures with her friends. On their adventures they always stumble into a situation that turns into a learning experience. For example, they might have to count how many trees are on a street. They might also come across a road sign that is in Spanish. In order to move forward in their adventure they will have to translate the word into English. When this happens they say the Spanish word numerous times, so children really learn how to pronounce the word. Usually they will show a picture of the word, so children can relate the word to the picture. Any parent who is interested in having their children learn Spanishshould let them watch this show.

Missing Him...

I am really missing my husband right now. He's on funeral detail and will be back home tomorrow night. We are leaving on Monday for the Bahamas and until now I still didn't pack yet. I am just going to get some rest and pack up. Well, I am going to take a nap now. Thanks for the visit.

Cannot Sleep

I have been trying to go to sleep but I really can't. My body and mind are so exhausted but my eyes don't to close. I guess it is because I am so stressed and worried. My Absolute Favorite Thing about the World Cup

Every four years soccer fanactics get to show pride for their favorite country. This is my absolute favorite thing about the World Cup. It is amazing how devoted people are to their countries soccer team. Hubby Got Pulled Over

My husband promised me that he would come home tonight, so I waited. I really worried about him when it's past midnight and he was not home yet. I tried calling him but his cellphone was off. I was getting nervous for no reason at all. At almost 1:00 A.M. he called me and told me that he cannot go home. He was pulled over by a cop on his way home. The cop said he was swirving on the road, he thought my husband was drunk. He gave him a sobriety test and my husband passed it. The police asked him why he was swirving if he was not drunk, my husband told him he's tired.

The police didn't take him to jail but instead he took my husband to a hotel. The police told the front desk to make sure that my husband stay in the hotel and sleep. If ever he leave before morning, to let him know and he will come back to take my husband to jail. Well, I think what the police did was right. Who knows what could have happened if my husband didn't got pulled over. I am just so glad to know that he is okay and the he is getting his rest and sleep.

My husband and I have been through so many trials with our marital relationship these past few days. We were to mad at each other that we cannot even talk right with out screaming. Soldier's Early Out

Every Thursday, the soldiers here in Fort Hood gets off early. Usually they get off work at 5 o'clock in the afternoon but on Thursday they get off at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. All last year my heating and air conditioning system were on the fritz. I kept spending money for a quick fix and I still had issues all year round. Slept Late, Woke Up Late

Hubby's Back From His Trip

My husband came back today from his funeral detail trip. My son and I were really happy when we saw him, we've missed him terribly. My son is out of school so I really cannot sleep the way I want because he keeps on bothering me. Right now, I feel like I am floating and my back is in pain. Baby Shower

My family and I went to a baby shower party last Sunday. It was the best baby shower party I have ever been to. There were like 300 guests in there. Today, my car was acting a little bit weird. Well, it has its issues the day we bought it but ignored them because I really loved the car.
